Etosha Gallery Oct. 27, 2009

Large mixtures of different animals: elephants, giraffes, gazelles of different sorts, zebras. The predators showed up, too: lion, jackal, cheetah, hyena packs and on one occasion, a golden moment in the late afternoon, a leopard came to drink.

The pictures are not quite in ascending time order although the WordPress host thinks so by the date/time on the photos which probably got scrambled as they made their way across the world from Etosha inside my camera to the Asus 1008HE netbook computer. That little machine was both very useful at storing pictures but almost useless as a means of blogging or even emailing from Africa. There was only one semi-convenient wireless hotspot that we came across and that was in Swakopmund, Namibia. Probably others existed but by then I was resigned to shoot first, blog later. Little did I think it would be that much later.
